Lecturer and hospital surgeon, Veterinary College, Fitzroy, Victoria 1889-94; veterinary officer, municipality of Dunedin, New Zealand 1895-96; veterinary inspector, Board of Public Health, Victoria 1896-1905; chief veterinary inspector, Department of Agriculture 1905-11; director, Department of Agriculture 1911-31; lecturer in veterinary hygiene and dietetics in the faculty of veterinary science, University of Melbourne 1909-24, senior lecturer 1924-28, lecturer in animal husbandry and veterinary hygiene in the faculty of agriculture 1927-33. Associated with the formation of Young Farmers' clubs in Victoria and also involved with the Better Farming Exhibition train.
