<abstract>Archibald Watson was Professor of Anatomy, University of Adelaide 1885-1919, Surgeon to Adelaide Hospital, a consultant surgeon during the Boer War and Chief Pathologist to the A.I.F. 1914. He did his initial medical studies at the universities in Gottingen and Paris, later qualifying as Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, London, and as Licentiate of the Sociaty of Apothecaries.</abstract>
