<abstract>Walter Rosenhain worked for the National Physical Laboratory, England 1906-1931, as Superintendent of the Department of Metallurgy and Metallurgical Chemistry. He won an 1851 Exhibition scholarship in 1897 and graduated DSc at the University of Melbourne in 1909.</abstract>
