The Centre's objectives can be summarised as providing research which enhances the management of the bushfire risk to the community in an economically and ecologically sustainable way. Research programs cover a range of topics including fire behaviour and suppression, fire in the landscape, community understanding, building protection, volunteerism and bushfire arson.
