<abstract>In 1920 the Veterinary School was granted full status as a faculty and Professor J.D. Stewart became Dean of Veterinary Science. By 1928 there were 25 undergraduates, which increased to over 100 in 1935. The Faculty in 2000 comprised three departments and two veterinary teaching hospitals.</abstract>
