<biogHist>
Simpson Holdings Limited was originally established in 1853 by tin smith Alfred Simpson. Services undertaken by the company and its subsidiaries included the manufacture and distribution of domestic appliances, electric motors and kitchen cupboards. Simpsons Holdings Ltd. in conjunction with BHP Coated Products Division produced the renowned "Tucker Box" freezer which gained a design award.

The brand name "Simpson" is still well recognised as it survives today on domestic washing machines and clothes dryers throughout Australia.

In 1986 Simpson Holdings Limited was taken over by Email Limited.
