The Electricity Trust of South Australia was established in September 1946. The Trust took the place of the former Adelaide Electric Supply Company. Its functions were to extend the existing electricity supplies throughout South Australia as well as constructing power facilities and investigating sources of fuel. In 1995 it was replaced by the ETSA Corporation.
