Graeme Clark worked for 10 years with the University of Wollongong in a Centre of Excellence led by Professor Gordon Wallace, where Clark was responsible for all the bionics research. Clark was particularly involved in the development of new generation bionic ear; and, the possibility of using plastics to join up the top and bottom of damaged spinal cords to enable people to walk again. He also acted as a consultant for research into a bionic eye.
