Summary

In 2012 the Office of Ageing was transferred from the Department of Families and Communities to the Department of Health (2004 - 2012). As a result the Department of Health became the Department of Health and Ageing (2012 - 2018). The Department of Health and Ageing (2012 - 2018) held responsibilities for the oversight, management, development of and implementation of policy in the South Australian health sector including public health, mental health, and hospitals. In 2018 the Department of Health and Ageing was renamed the Department of Health and Wellbeing (2018 - )
