Summary

In 1997 the Western Australian Fisheries Department [3] was renamed Fisheries Western Australia. Fisheries Western Australia was responsible for commercial and recreational aquaculture and sustainable fishing until 2001 when it was dissolved and replaced by the Department of Fisheries (2001 - 2017).
