Summary

Bostjan Kobe is a structural biologist noted for his multi-disciplinary approach to determine particularly the molecular and cellular functions of proteins. His research has contributed to our understanding of immunity pathways and the potential for proteins as therapeutic agents. In his research he uses a combination of crystallography, electron microscopy, and a range of biophysical techniques and functional bioassays. Kobe is Professor of Structural Biology at the University of Queensland and leads the Protein Structure and Function research group.
