Summary

Syd Miller was a veterinary scientist who, while in private practice for nearly 25 years, developed an extensive artificial insemination business. He was veterinary consultant to many of Australia's leading stud and commercial operations, and involved in 27 projects in 17 developing countries. In the late 1970s he became interested in bovine embryo transfer and until retiring in 2000 focused on this field. Miller was actively involved in professional organisations as committee member and President, particularly the Australian Veterinary Association and the Australian College of Veterinary Science.
