Summary

Previously the Army Experimental Farm the Katherine Research Station was managed by a number of CSIRO (Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation) divisions until it was passed on to the Northern Territory Government in 1981. The focus of research conducted at the Katherine Research Station was on crops and agriculture.
