Summary

Stephen Wilkins is an X-ray crystallographer who is known for his integral involvement in the development of hard X-ray phase-contrast imaging, which greatly expanded the utility and level of information achievable through x-ray imaging by interpreting the refractive information of x-rays. He was also instrumental in the initiation and establishing of the Australian National Beamline Facility (ANBF), situated at the Japanese synchrotron known as the Photon Factory. Wilkins has published over 140 peer-refereed papers.
