Summary
The Walters family were German immigrants. They were French polishers who branched out into manufacture of wood finishes and started the Wattyl paint company in 1915. H. R. Walters wrote Touching Up and Repairing Furniture Finishes: a Useful Handbook for Use by Furniture Manufacturers and Retailers (193-?) and Lacquer Finishing in Simple Form: Walters' "Wattyl" Wood Finishing Products: What They Are and How to Use Them (195-?).
