Summary
Brian Austin worked for CSIRO Division of Computing Research. He helped to develop an on-line, multi-user system for their Control Data 3600 computer, called DAD, which was the first (1965) large scale, on-line, multi-user system in Australia.
Details
According to the annual reports for the CSIRO Division of Computing Research, Austin was a Principal Research Scientist in 1973, a Senior Principal Research Scientist in 1981 and the Group Leader for Cyber Systems in 1984.
