Summary
John Blackman was a farmer settled by Governor Macquarie at Bathurst in 1818. He made several exploratory journeys to the north-east of Bathurst 1821-23.

Arrived in Australia in 1801. One of ten farmers settled by Governor Macquarie at Bathurst in March 1818, another being his brother James (q.v.) and made several exploratory journeys to the north-east of Bathurst 1821-23. Later resided at Hartley, NSW.
