Research Officer, Electrolytic Zinc Company, Tasmania 1925-28, chief technical officer, Commonwealth Development & Migration Commission 1928-30, Chemical engineer, ICI (Australia) 1930-33, Director, Tait Publishing Company, Melbourne 1933-52, Managing Director of Tait Publishing Company and Tait Book Company 1952-56. Manager, No. 5 explosives factory, Deer Park, Victoria 1940-43, Assistant Director Food Manufacture, Commonwealth Food Control 1943-45. Foundation member and first secretary, Melbourne branch, Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy.
