Warneke, Robert M. (Bob)

Summary

Bob Warneke conducted research on the colony of Australian fur seals at Seal Rocks, Western Port from 1964 to 1991. He was manager of wildlife research at the Arthur Rylah Institute for Environmental Research, Victoria until 1991. From 1991 to 2002 he was a private consultant specialising in marine mammals. In his retirement he continued his personal research interests in areas including the history of whaling and sealing in Australasian and subantarctic waters in his retirement.
