Born 9 January 1917. Educated Imperial College of Science (BSc). Forbes Medallist, Royal College of Science 1939, Entomologist, Ministries of Agriculture and Food UK 1940-46, Senior Lecturer in Zoology, University of New England 1947-55, Professor of Zoology 1955-82.
