Summary
Norman Selfe, a founder of the Engineering Association of New South Wales in 1870, achieved a number of 'firsts' including an ice-making machine, a double-ended screw ferry, a lift and a concrete quay wall. He also designed a cantilever bridge for Sydney Harbour.
