Summary

The South Australian Timber Corporation was the production and marketing arm of the Department of Woods and Forests in South Australia. It trialled the Scrimber method of subdividing wood before it is reconstituted, setting up a dedicated mill in Mt Gambier. In around 1993 Forestry SA merged its processing plants with South Australian Timber Corporation and formed a new corporation called Forwood Products.
