Summary

Extal Pty Ltd was established in 1982 when it took over the alkaloids operations of Tasmanian Alkaloids Pty Ltd. Extal Pty Ltd, like Tasmanian Alkaloids Pty Ltd, was a subsidiary of the international pharmaceutical products company Johnson & Johnson. They were Australia's largest producer of active pharmaceutical ingredients at the time. In 2006 the company was registered as Penta Pty. Ltd with the Australian Securities & Investments Commission.
