Summary

CSIRO's Livestock Industries was first established in July 2000. The Division incorporates the former Divisions of Animal Health, Animal Production as well as some sections from the Division of Tropical Agriculture.

From their Web site, November 2002: "As a leading global research enterprise, CSIRO Livestock Industries provides innovative solutions and quality services for Australia's livestock and allied industries to enhance their sustainability, competitiveness and prosperity."
