The Centre has been offering advice on the uses and appropriate environments for species of Australian trees. The Australian Tree Seed Centre database contains data on seedlots, including datasets of collection details and germination test results, as well as location, site and tree details and photographs. Seed is also available for purchase. In 2014 the Australian National Tree Seed Centre joined other CSIRO natural history collections as part of the National Research Collections Australia.
