Summary

Austral Standard Cables Pty Ltd was established in 1948 and manufactured telecommunication cable and wire. On 21 October 1988 the company was taken over by Metal Manufacturers and renamed as MM Cables Telecommunications. It had branches in Moorebank Avenue (closed circa 1991) and Heathcote Road in Liverpool, New South Wales and one in Clayton, Victoria.
