Summary

Founded in 1939, Albright and Wilson Pty Ltd established their Yarraville phosphate manufacturing plant in 1940. From 1958 to 1977 the plant also produced surfactants. A second plant in New South Wales was established and all surfactant production was moved there. Albright and Wilson Pty Ltd were major contributors to the chemical industry for many years, manufacturing and importing chemicals.
